On January 14th, Song Hye-kyo, Jeon Yeo-bin, Lee Jin-wook and Moon Woo-jin attended the open showcase for the movie “Dark Nuns” at Lotte Cinema World Tower.
“Dark Nuns” tells about the nuns working together to save a boy who has been possessed by an evil spirit. In the movie, Song Hye-kyo plays Sister Junia, a nun who is determined to save the boy. After gaining recognition for her astonishing image transformation as Moon Dong-eun in “The Glory”, Song Hye-kyo will make her comeback with Sister Junia in “Dark Nuns”. As such, many people are looking forward to her new character and acting this time.
At the showcase, MC Park Kyung-rim asked Song Hye-kyo about her image change in the new movie, and the actress said, “I think the viewers will realize it after watching the movie”.
Revealing that she tried to memorize the prayer by recalling it days and nights, the actress shared, “Since the praying scenes required strong emotions, I needed to fully memorize the prayer to bring out the utmost of my emotions”.
Jeon Yeo-bin also talked about acting with Song Hye-kyo. She said, “Junia in ‘Dark Nuns’ is a cool person. I found many similarities between Junia and Song Hye-kyo in real life. I could feel that they were literally the same person. Whenever I looked into her eyes, I felt moved by her emotions. I really appreciated it and I remember being so amazed at that time”.
Regarding Song Hye-kyo’s recent YouTube appearance, Jeon Yeo-bin emphasized, “How can anyone not like an actress like Song Hye-kyo? I had the happiest time working with her and I can still feel it now. When you watch ‘Dark Nuns’ after its release, you will realize how amazing and shining our chemistry was”.
Song Hye-kyo decided to do new things to promote “Dark Nuns”. She shocked everyone by making an appearance on tvN’s “You Quiz on the Block”, on Kang Min-kyung’s YouTube channel, and even in Jung Jae-hyung’s YouTube content. In particular, she even revealed her new image with short hair in Jung Jae-hyung’s content video, saying “I cut my hair for the next project. It’s a project by writer Noh Hee-kyung. A period drama”.
Recently, Song Hye-kyo decided to participate in Noh Hee-kyung’s new drama as her next project. Filming already began on the 12th. Against the backdrop of broadcasters in the 1960s and 1970s, it is a work about the story of stars on stage and the people behind them. Song Hye-kyo will work with Gong Yoo on this project.
